We are proud to announce that our very own Laura Yaeger was honored by the American Association for Justice at its annual convention in Los Angeles as the co-founder of its LGBT caucus.

Yaeger has been a part of the Morgan & Morgan Complex Litigation Group in our Tampa office since 2013, and focuses on mass tort cases involving pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Her knowledge and experience with these types of cases earned her a spot on the Plaintiff’s Steering Committee in the California litigation over the antipsychotic drug Risperdal in 2014. She was also included on the PSC for the Stryker metal-on-metal hip implant multidistrict litigation that eventually settled for $1 billion.
Being a key part of complex cases such as these has earned her national recognition in the legal field, and she is frequently asked to speak at mass tort seminars, including AAJ’s Hot Topic & Trends in Litigation, HarrisMartin’s Dialysis Injury Litigation Conference, AAJ’s Education Risperdal Litigation Webinar, HB Litigation’s Mass Tort Med School, and the Women en Mass annual conference.
Yaeger’s combined success in the legal field and her active membership in the AAJ has established her as one of the group’s leading members, and even earned her a seat on the association’s Board of Governors.
The AAJ, founded in 1946, is an international organization with attorneys from all practice areas that work to promote a fair and effective justice system. The organization achieves this by supporting attorneys that work to ensure every person has the ability to obtain justice in court.
Yaeger’s involvement with the AAJ goes beyond her seat on the Board of Governors though, as she is also on the Membership Oversight Committee and is active in the Women Trial Lawyers Caucus.
However, it is her most recent achievement of co-founding the LGBT caucus that merited her a Distinguished Service Award from the AAJ.
Along with attorney Zachary Wool, Yaeger founded the LGBT caucus to provide a safe environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender AAJ members to discuss and deal with issues that arise in their day-to-day practice.
