Biography Overview
William Hackett was born in Memphis, Tennessee and grew up just south of Memphis in Nesbit, Mississippi. He graduated cum laude from North Carolina State University with a B.A. in Political Science. William attended law school at the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and was an avid participant in the Moot Court and Mock Trial competitions. During his second year, Mr. Hackett won Best 2L Oral Advocate Award in the intra-school Mock Trial competition. The very next year William retained his title by winning the overall Best Oral Advocate Award.
Mr. Hackett found his calling to serve the people when he represented dependent and neglected children as Guardian ad Litem during his term as a student attorney with the University of Memphis Child and Family Litigation Clinic. Since then, he has been dedicated to providing justice to those who need it most.
William Hackett is licensed to practice Law in Tennessee and Arkansas. He is located in the Memphis office of Morgan & Morgan.
