Biography Overview

Attorney Carlos Leach received his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana. After law school, Mr. Leach decided it was time for a change of scenery (and weather) and moved to sunny Orlando, Florida where he began his legal career defending employers and insurers in employment disputes. After two years of honing his craft from the defense perspective, Mr. Leach decided it was time to fight for the people, not the powerful, and joined Morgan & Morgan in 2006. He is now a partner in Morgan & Morgan’s Atlanta office and co-chair of the firm’s national employment department.

In his time at Morgan & Morgan, Mr. Leach has represented hundreds of employees who have been wronged by their employer in wage and hour, discrimination, FMLA, retaliation, and whistleblower cases. He has been appointed lead class counsel in more than 20 class action cases, including several that ended with multi-million dollar settlements. In recognition of his professional excellence, Mr. Leach continues to be recognized by Florida Super Lawyers Magazine on the list of Florida Rising Stars list of Super Lawyers since 2013.

Outside of the courtroom, Mr. Leach is a frequent lecturer on topics pertaining to wage and hour compliance. He has been featured on many television and radio stations and newspaper articles. Mr. Leach also devotes his time to assisting indigent citizens in matters where they have been wronged by their employer. For this work, he has been named “Orange County Pro Bono Champion” by Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida. Mr. Leach also serves on the board of the Central Florida Magic, a nationally ranked youth basketball team that he sponsors.

Mr. Leach was born in our nation’s capital, Washington D.C., and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. Following high school, he attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA, where he received his B.S. in Economics. While attending Southern, Mr. Leach was a two-time All-American placekicker on the football team. He currently resides in Atlanta with his wife and two kids.
