Biography Overview

Alex J. Brown was born in Buford, GA in 1985 and raised in Gainesville, GA. He received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Alabama before obtaining his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law. While at the University of Alabama School of Law, Mr. Brown was a member of several national trial teams, including the American Association for Justice National Trial Team, and was a two-time recipient of the George Peach Taylor Award for Trial Advocacy. During law school Mr. Brown had the privilege of clerking for Morgan & Morgan’s senior trial lawyer, Keith Mitnik, and learning from him the skills that he has now put into practice in courtrooms across the Southeast on behalf of his clients. After graduating from law school returned to the firm and began working in the firm’s Orlando office, focusing his practice primarily on personal injury and premises liability cases. Throughout his career Mr. Brown has dedicated a large portion of his practice to actively trying cases and has served as lead trial counsel on numerous successful verdicts on behalf of his clients and has often been called in to assist other members of the firm with cases that are going to trial once settlement is no longer an option. He firmly believes the most powerful tool to hold wrongdoers accountable is the civil jury trial and is committed to fighting for his clients from the very beginning of a case all the way through verdict.

Alex J. Brown now serves as managing partner for the firm’s offices in Birmingham, AL, Mobile, AL, and Pensacola, FL. In addition to his duties as managing partner, he is also a member of Morgan & Morgan’s Interstate Trucking Litigation practice group and devotes a substantial portion of his practice to helping the families of those injured in commercial motor vehicle and trucking crashes.
